It's simple. Write about what you love. And what is better than dogs and food? If you are anything like me - and millions of other people - you will relate to and understand the unwavering love I have for my dogs and my passion for cooking - and eating - great food. I hope you will enjoy reading about my day to day experiences with good food and a couple of very special dogs.

Henry's Feet

I have heard it said by some, that dog feet smell like salty snacks.
In our house, we refer to it as Frito Feet.

These are Henny's cute little feet.   He crosses them when he sits on the couch.    Looks like he's wearing fluffy slippers.   I call  them his Fancy Feet.
Does anyone else like the smell of their dog's paws?  There's something strangely appealing about it!

Henry's feet are exquisite! I love when my animals cross their paws. I haven't sniffed Tommy's or Louise's recently. I'll make a point of doing that today and let you know if they smell like Fancy Feet!

Hi Sue. Okay – the look is Fancy Feet. But the smell….is Frito Feet! LOL Brian and I have decided that dog's feet smell like Fritos. My friend Marthe thinks her dog's feet smell like Potato Chips. HA!

Hi Liz:
Oh girl look at those little toes, it is almost like they are smiling, right Sue?. I always say Brady's toes are smiling cause they are so curly and happy and moving all of the time.

I die for my Finney and everything he is. His smell (my friend Jess eldridge says her dog maggie used to smell like corn chips) I love SO much too.

Our little animals bring us such unconditional love, there really is nothing like it.

I put this on Facebook, yesterday, hope yall don't mind - but I found it profound but true, It is from OM Horoscope. Love it.

OM
"For as long as humankind has recognized animals as teachers, wise men and women have recognized traits worthy of respect in both wild and domestic creatures. The cultural and spiritual significance of certain animals transcends geographical bound-aries, unifying disparate peoples."

It is awesome right?

The puppy toes are smiling! Ha ha. Abby is like KK you say the weirdest, most out there things sometimes, I"m like I know, sorry!

Thank you for sharing your dear little lambs with us - we just can't get enough. Keep it coming!

Love
Kristen

Kristen - I love the quote you posted - and it is so true. I do believe if we all learned from our animals how unconditional love really is...how pure and simple - we would have more peace in our lives.

"The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog. . . .He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world. . . .When all other friends desert, he remains." - George G Vest
