Why Dogs and Food?

Why Dogs and Food?

It's simple. Write about what you love. And what is better than dogs and food? If you are anything like me - and millions of other people - you will relate to and understand the unwavering love I have for my dogs and my passion for cooking - and eating - great food. I hope you will enjoy reading about my day to day experiences with good food and a couple of very special dogs.

Thanks for visiting.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional:  without conditions.  absolute.

"To give and not expect return, that is the heart of love." ~ Oscar Wilde

On my walk with Walter and Henry today, we saw lots of seagulls and birds walking on the bay in low tide.  Canadian geese seem to be everywhere we look.  They are always in pairs.  I think I read somewhere that Canadian Geese mate for life and may only take another mate when widowed. I think Orcas do the same. How lovely and romantic to know they are so fiercely loyal.  Again, animals never cease to delight me with their demonstration of unconditional love.

Here's a shot of the little cove at our apartment complex.  Way in the back are two geese.  My iPhone didn't get the best shot, but they were cuddling there, in love, forever.

Henry and Walter stood on the dock and watched intently while I took the photo.  They know love when they see it.

Hi Liz:

I love your unconditional love post and you related it to your animals and everything around you.

People, animals, trees, the flowers - we are all a wonderful universe.

We are a wonderful universe!

Love you Liz. Take good care.

Kristen

Yes. I often walk around the bay and see so much wildlife. The geese and the egrets and the ducks and the pelicans give me so much pleasure. I am blessed to be surrounded by this heavenly nature.

This is so sweet, Liz. And I love the photo of the cove.

I'm listening to the birds waking up in my backyard. It's a nice way to start the day.

Thanks for stopping by, Sue. I have to remember to zoom in on my iPhone but it's hard to do with the dogs on the leash so many of my photos from my phone are not the greatest. The geese and ducks are always just paddling around in the Cove. Such a serene place to live. Hopefully you will visit one day and I will walk with you around the bay.
