Why Dogs and Food?

Why Dogs and Food?

It's simple. Write about what you love. And what is better than dogs and food? If you are anything like me - and millions of other people - you will relate to and understand the unwavering love I have for my dogs and my passion for cooking - and eating - great food. I hope you will enjoy reading about my day to day experiences with good food and a couple of very special dogs.

Thanks for visiting.

Spring has Sprung!

"April hath put a spirit of youth in everything!" ~ William Shakespeare

Oh, how true it is!  After months of rain and fog, Spring has come to the Bay.  It was a picture-perfect day today and that meant the boys would be down by the bay, enjoying the sunshine and of course, jumping in the water!  Here are some shots of our day.

Rare shot of Walter actually looking at the camera!
Walter in the grass, gives me a glance....

Henry takes a dip.  He is always first in the water!

And such a happy boy after a dip!

And a pooped-out boy when he gets home!

A view of the skyline today - right in my own backyard!

Happy Happy Spring!

Hi Liz!

How are you my darling? I am so happy that you have posted yahoo!

It is always a pleasure to see how you enjoy your life and nature out in the Bay Area? Have you been to Point Reyes and visited the Humboldt Fog Cheese Boutique? There were many foggy days spent out on Marin County - the fog is SO San Francisco like a Clint Eastwood movie right?

Keep it coming cause I love to see you here.

Take care.

Love
Kristen

Kristen - I am enjoying every little bit of sunshine that peeks through the San Francisco sky as it does not come often enough....I am not used to so much rain and fog - I have to admit that I just sound cheery because it was finally a beautiful day! You do not want me writing in my blog on the icky days...I am not as pleasant!

P.S. Krissy - I have not been to Point Reyes yet - every time we planned to go it has rained! I want to go on sunny day so will definitely get there soon.

Thanks for stopping by, Heather! Yes, a little bit of home for you....it makes me forget about the wind and rain for a little while...until it comes again! But lately, only beautiful days here and that is all right with me!

Hi Liz. The purple flowers look like lavender and are one of my favorites. The pictures are all so beautiful. i would like to see Tiburon Cove! I love Spring - new life, new beginnings.

Hi Colette - yes, I love Lavender, too. I keep dried Lavender in a vase in my bathroom. Spring is so beautiful up here as this place is like a giant garden. Seeing all the flowers and trees in bloom sure makes up for having all the rain!

Photos are beautiful, Liz! I'm so glad you're getting some warmth and sunshine. I'm late here so I hope the sun is still shining. But as you say, the flowers need the rain so it's worth it! Hope you're having a great Monday. xo

Hi Sue
Thanks. Yes, we still have sunshine here in Tiburon and the boys have been having a blast in the bay. Brian has started a beautiful garden on our deck and it looks lovely - so cheery. Walter loves it and lies by the flowers. It is very cute. I now call it Walty's garden.
