Lucky 13 and a Meal with a View!

Today was our 13th wedding anniversary.  I took the day off work so we could enjoy the day.  It was a bright, bright, bright, sunshiny day!

We drank coffee on our back deck and exchanged a few gifts.  We went for a drive through Sausalito and stopped at Salitos Crab House for lunch.  What a nice surprise it was.  We were seated outside on the back patio which overlooked the harbor.  The water was calm and beautiful, floating sailboats adorned the docks and provided a fetching view.  The sun was soft and warm.  It was a picture-perfect day.

I ordered a 2-lb Dungeness Crab that was cooked in a garlic and parsley butter sauce.  The crab meat was moist and tender and slightly smoky.  It was divine!


Brian ordered a fancy fish and chips dish.  The fish was a very delicate white fish coated with a light and crunchy crust and the chips were roasted new potatoes that appeared to be slightly fried afterwards.  Of course, I had a taste and it was a flavorful and delightful version of this English treat!

For dessert, we ordered chocolate mousse and sweet, warm beignets served with fresh whipped cream.  Oh my God.  Hello!  This dessert was so delectable!  We broke open the beignets and filled them with the chocolate mousse and whipped cream.  It was certainly a heavenly way to end this delicious meal.




What a feast.  We will definitely be dining at Salitos again!
